Shirley Mc Clure

Shiatsu Teacher and Practitioner
Graduating from the Irish School of Shiatsu in 1992, Shirley McClure is one of the longest-established Shiatsu Practitioners in Ireland. She later completed a 1-year post-graduate training with the Shiatsu College (www.theshiatsucollege.org), Norwich. A Registered Teacher with the Shiatsu Society of Ireland, Shirley taught for 9 years with the Irish School of Shiatsu on their Practitioner Training Course. She is a member of the Accreditation Panel of the Shiatsu Society of Ireland, the Regulatory body which sets educational standards and assesses practitioners and teachers of Shiatsu in Ireland.
She has done further training (C.P.D.) with many teachers including Carola Beresford-Cooke, Ray Ridolfi, Bill Palmer, Rex Lasalle, Dinah John, Sonia Moriceau and Paul Lundberg. She practices Shiatsu & Aromatherapy in Bray, Co. Wicklow.
Fionnuala O'Hare

Fionnuala O'Hare is the principal of the Shiatsu College of Ireland. She has 13 years of bodywork experience, and has been teaching Shiatsu, yoga and self-development programmes in Britain and Ireland. She trained with the British School of Shiatsu-Do in London and continues to teach for then, as well as the School of Shiatsu Liverpool, and the Cork School of Shiatsu.
In 2003 she taught the first practitioner course in Northern Ireland and has taught with the Irish School of Shiatsu and the Shiatsu College. Fionnuala also teaches a course in the practice of Do-In, or Tao Yin, an ancient Eastern self healing method based on meditation, meridian and Ki exercises, self Shiatsu and breathing.

I have been practising and teaching Shiatsu in Belfast since 1990. My primary studies were in the late 80's with the School of Shiatsu and Natural Healing based in Co. Kerry. In the early 90's I did postgraduate training with the Shiatsu College Norwich with renowned teachers Clifford Andrews and Paul Lundberg. I also studied with other well known Shiatsu teachers such as Pauline Sasaki, Wataru Ohashi, and Rex Lassalle.
Helena O'Loughlin

Shiatsu and Bio-Energy practitioner
Married to Kevin and has two children. Helena started doing yoga in '94 with her great friend and yoga teacher AnnMarie Hynes and have been practicing yoga ever since. During this time she stumbled across Bio-Energy and went on to study with Michael Dalton of the Bio-Energy Assoc. and received her diploma in '97. Helena loved this way of working with the energies but after a year of practicing with clients she sought to deepen her understanding of the body.
After an introductory course on Shiatsu she found what she was looking for. Helena then completed a three years studies receiving a Diploma in Shiatsu in 2000. It was to broaden my understanding of the physical, emotional and mental body and why pain and disease visit us. It thought her how Shiatsu to alleviate those symptoms and bring balance and relieve tension and stiffness. Over the past five years, using this therapy in both the corporate and private world her clients have found great relief from their symptoms
Helena is the administrater of Shiatsu College Dublin.
